Not really, but I couldn't care less about the day. To me, its just a holiday created by our friends at Hallmark. Maybe its because I was traumatized as a child because all the mean/popular kids would only give valentine cards to other mean/popular kids, leaving me with very few cards. But I'm not bitter...
Lucky me, I married a man who is a romantic. I'm not being sarcastic, I do feel very blessed to have married a man who thinks about romantic things to do for me. This means we celebrate V-day (I refuse to write it out anymore).
Instead of going out, I agreed to cooking steaks and baked potatoes. Jon got to grill and eat steaks and eat potatoes (his favorite food in the world), so he was happy. We also had stuffed mushrooms as the appetiser, so I was very happy. I stayed up until midnight (after he went to bed) Friday night making Jon a Red Velvet Cake (his second favorite food in the world). Since I'm not a fan of RVC, that was my contribution to V-day. But I must say, it turned out really good. I made a cream cheese icing to go on top which is my favorite part.
So, here are some pics commemorating our second married V-day. Enjoy!
