So anyway, getting off my weight...
Another reason to not overindulge this Thanksgiving. This year I am running in the Savannah River Bridge Run! I am so excited!!
I ran the 10k in 2004 and I have said I would do it again every year. This year I have Jon convinced to join me. The only thing is, we are doing the 5k. That's ok, I'm not in great shape. While I can run 20 min without stopping (about 2.5 miles - I'm slow, what can I say), I don't know how I'd hold up for 6.2 miles. My time 4 years ago for the 10k was 1 hour and 12 minutes. I think that is roughly a 12 minute mile. I don't think that's too bad considering I have no endurance to speak of.I'm pretty excited about it. Jon says we are just going to walk, but I want to run. I might just have to leave him and meet up with him at the end of the race. Either way, I'm looking forward to a nice weekend in Savannah. Hopefully we can catch a ghost tour while we are there.
I just can't believe how fast this year has gone by! I mean, it seems that this past summer was when we got married. But no! That was over a year ago! Ahhh!
I hope everyone has a wonderful and relaxing Thanksgiving!
