New camera!

For my birthday I got a fabulous camera! I have been in need of a new one. My Sony just wasn't taking the best pictures anymore. It would drain the batteries within a few hours, pics came out blurry more often than not, and if you don't have a perfectly steady hand, well, you can forget about a good picture. I have quite a few pictures that are blurry, and I hate that because they are ones that we had to get strangers to take, so they don't know. I was the designated picture taker with Jon and I, he is real shaky with pictures.

















Here it is. The Canon PowerShot SX10-IS. Again, I love it! I have already taken a lot of pictures, just playing around with it. I will post some of my favorite subjects (my kitties) when I remember to load some pictures from it. There is a function where I can pick out a color in a subject, such as the red in a rose bush. Then the camera will only record that red and everything else will be black and white. So cool! I am going to have fun with that. I can also swap colors. The night I got it, I swapped Jon's skin tone with a royal blue from a pillow I have. He looked like the long lost member of the blue man group. Sadly, I didn't save that picture, he made me delete it. But still, so cool! I can't wait until we go to Disney World with it, and the mountains, and the beach.

As I was taking pictures of the kitties, I zoomed in on the playback picture. I can see every hair! It is so amazingly clear! The ripples in the irises of their eyes - I must remember to NEVER zoom in on my face!

I really love my camera. I will be keeping my Sony since I have the underwater housing for it and it is the one I use for SCUBA and underwater pictures. Also, if anything happens to that one, I won't be completely heartbroken.
