Baby is now the size of an eggplant!
Let your spouse put an ear to your belly -- he might be able to pick up baby's heartbeat (no stethoscope required). Inside the womb, the formation of tiny capillaries is giving baby a healthy pink glow. Baby's also soaking up your antibodies, getting the immune system ready for life outside the womb. Eyes are forming, and baby will soon perfect the blink -- perfect for batting those freshly grown lashes.
How Far along: 25 weeks! (as of 6/16/10)
Total weight gain: I'm really trying hard to limit my sugar and salt intake, and eat healthy. I also really want to try to gain no more than the 1 lb per week. The week we were in Cali I gained 3 lbs. Not great, but not bad considering all that I ate...
Maternity clothes: Pants and shorts definitely. Moving in that direction for shirts.
Sleep: Great.
Movement: Pretty predictable, and getting stronger.
Gender: Sweet baby girl.
Labor signs: No, thank you.
Belly button: Getting more shallow. It is actually starting to hurt in the area it was pierced.
Stretch Marks: Definitely have one on my boob. I think I am getting one on my belly button in the area of the old piercing.
Cravings: Nothing really.
What I miss: Nothing at the moment.
What I'm looking forward to: 10 year class reunion the weekend of June 18 and 19. I am excited to see my old high school friend Lauren, who is also pregnant with a little girl!
And here is the 25 week picture. I actually took it in the hotel in San Fransisco on Tuesday, but thats close enough to 25 weeks. I knew I would be too busy on Wednesday to get it.
