22 weeks!

Baby's now the size of a Papaya!
Watch what you say -- baby is now able to hear outside noise from down in the womb. Studies show that baby finds gentle music and your own voice most soothing. Nipples are starting to sprout, and that little face is fully formed. And, baby's starting to settle into sleep cycles, snoozing about 12 to 14 hours a day. It shouldn't be hard to figure out when -- just pay attention to those kicks as they start and stop.

How Far along: 22 weeks, 6 days!

Total weight gain: We won't talk about that..
.

Maternity clothes: Maternity shorts and capris, and regular skirts. Still in regular shirts too.

Sleep: Good. Dreams are getting more vivid so they sometimes wake me up. Strangely enough, I have had no baby dreams.

Best Moment this week: Jonathan finally feeling baby.

Movement: Pretty predictable.

Gender: Sweet baby girl.

Labor signs: No, thank you.

Belly button: In, but getting shallow.

Cravings: No cravings right now.

What I miss: Nothing at the moment.

What I'm looking forward to: Getting the nursery started.

We had a busy weekend. On Saturday, we completely emptied what used to be the upstairs office and painted the walls a neutral color. Then I shampooed the carpet, this room will become the upstairs guest bedroom. Meanwhile Jonathan was downstairs doing some mudding in a utility closet that we haven't finished yet. It doesn't seem like a lot, but we worked hard for most of the day and I was so tired and sore by the end of the day.

On Sunday we moved everything from the current guest bedroom into the empty, freshly painted room so I could shampoo the carpet in the future baby's room.

All in all we had a productive weekend and got everything done that I wanted to get done. We didn't get the guest bedroom set up as I hoped because we can't seem to find the bolts to attache the head and foot board to the bed frame. Not surprising since it hasn't been used in 8 years. So we have to rig something up.

I am anxious to get started on the nursery. We have no clue what color we are going to paint the walls since I haven't picked fabric out yet. I am meeting my mom in Warner Robins next Saturday and we are going to peruse all the fabric stores in search of something. We will probably seriously start on the nursery sometime in July or August.

We did get the stroller put together on Monday! We tried to give it a test drive with the cats, but they weren't having anything to do with that.
