Nike+

I joined the bandwagon, err, running community and purchased myself a Nike+ iPod sport kit! As you can see from my new Mini over there on the right. I'm quite excited. I haven't done a lot of running with it yet, just 2 miles today since it was immediately following my boot camp session, and I was tired.

Tomorrow I will hopefully do my 4 mile run, if the humidity isn't too oppressive. Eeek! Less than 3 weeks until the Peachtree, and I am pumped. I don't know if I'll do more than 6 miles prior to race day, I might. There is another 10k in Atlanta on Labor day, and I might use the Peachtree time as a base time for me to improve from. I also have these grand dreams of doing a sprint triathlon on October 4 and a half marathon on October 31. I don't know if it is so much grand or just ambitious. In any case this fall will be busy, but I can't wait! No matter how tired I am at the end of a long run, I feel so accomplished that I finished it. Especially when I look back and realize just how big that hill was that I just ran up.

In other news, we just got back this past Saturday from Panama City. As with any vacation, it just wasn't long enough. I just don't know where the week went, it seriously flew by. We had a wonderful early dinner at Margaritaville (grilled Mahi Mahi and a fruity Margarita), all 13 up of went to eat at Boondocks (much better than it was last year, although still not my favorite. I had a grilled Grouper PoBoy), the annual pontoon boat trip (and I have a funny story here, not that long, but I will expand on it tomorrow), and 7 lazy days of relaxing on the beach.
Not only was the vacation much needed, it also drove home the fact that I can't wait to be a stay at home wife/mom.

Ok, well, gotta run. Have to make the most of the rest of the day.
