Baby's now the size of a lemon!
Your adorable little fetus is busy with thumb sucking, toe wiggling, and (not so cute but equally amazing) making urine and breathing amniotic fluid as the liver, kidneys and spleen continue to develop. Lanugo (thin, downy hair) is growing all over the body for warmth.
How Far along: 14 weeks, 5 days (I will explain the jump in dates below)
Total weight gain: Up 4 lbs from pre-pregnancy weight. Not too bad, considering I pigged out over the weekend and have an endless supply of Easter candy stashed around the house.
Maternity clothes: I just want to find some that I feel comfortable in and don't feel frumpy in. I can't wait until its warm enough in the mornings to wear a skirt and sandals.
Sleep: Pretty good, but I am routinely getting up at least once per night to pee.
Best Moment this week: Finally hearing the heart beat for the first time.
Movement: None that I can feel.
Gender: No clue, but I'm leaning more toward boy.
Labor signs: No, thank you.
Belly button: In.
Cravings: Lemon Heads. And I can't find them ANYWHERE!
What I miss: Beer.
What I'm looking forward to: Not looking like I've been eating too much Easter candy.
Milestones: Again, hearing the heart beat for the first time.
Ok, so I changed my dates. The doctor actually changed my dates back around 7 weeks at my first ultrasound. My due date is officially September 29 now. So that makes me 14 weeks and 5 days. I've been putting off changing the date, but I am tired of remembering two dates in my head. I might start updating on Wednesdays now, or keep it to the weekends. Really it comes down to whenever I have time for it.
