10 weeks

Baby's now the size of a prune!
With bones and cartilage starting to form and vital organs beginning to function, baby is making major progress. Body length will almost double in the next three weeks, and arm joints are now working. (Soon, legs will start working too.)

How Far along: 10 weeks & 1 day!
Total weight gain: 2 lbs. I have actually lost a pound from last week.
Maternity clothes: I'm starting to need them. I am still (uncomfortably) wear my regular pants, but they are tight by the end of the day. I am having a heck of a time finding pants that are long enough in maternity sizes. That is my quest for today - go to all the stores and try to find a couple of pairs.
Sleep: Pretty good, but I am routinely getting up at least once per night to pee.
Best Moment this week: Running 8 miles. Yeah, I know its not pregnancy related, but I haven't run that far since high school.
Movement: Baby's moving, but I can't feel it yet.
Gender: No clue, but I'm leaning more toward boy.
Labor signs: No, thank you.
Belly button: In.
Cravings: Fruit.
What I miss: My fat pants being loose on me.
Stretch Marks: Nothing new.
Milestones: Should be able to hear the heartbeat on a doppler.
What I'm looking forward to: Second dr's appointment tomorrow and will be listening to baby's heartbeat on a doppler.
Weekly wisdom: Don't burst the grandmother's-to-be bubble. She will cry and put you on a guilt trip (my mom, not MIL).

Oh no! How did you burst your mom's bubble?? That's so exciting that you get to hear the heartbeat tomorrow!

Long story short...

We have waaaayyy different tastes in things. She asks my opinion on something, I say I don't like it, she takes it personally because she happens to love it. It goes round and round. We had the same issues in planning my wedding. Its going to be a long 7 months.

Sounds like fun! I know that's hard and I know this goes without saying (but I'll say it anyway), but just remember there's a baby on the way! That's what gets me through the difficult times.
