Finally! A picture!

So, I had my 2 weeks after the fact follow up ultrasound to my ER visit.

So cool. I haven't seen the parasite (I say that lovingly) since 7 weeks. It doesn't look like a blob anymore. I could see ribs, and a spine, and the brain! And best of all... I have a picture!

Tadaa!

I also have another picture from the front, ala alien baby. But its kinda hard to make out in person, so I didn't think it would look too clear seen as a picture of a picture.

Whats even more exciting, the doctor at the ultrasound place wants me to come back to them in 6 weeks for the anatomy scan! That means I will get another picture when we find out the sex! (I still think its a boy)

On the not so exciting news, I have a low lying placenta. If it doesn't correct itself it could mean restrictions and possibly bed rest later on. But the doctor told me this isn't that uncommon early on and usually as the baby grows the placenta will go to where its supposed to. If it doesn't, well we'll cross that bridge when we get there.

What confuses me is he told me I can continue to run like I have been and exercise, but I need to be on, ahem, pelvic rest. Do you see my confusion? Running = high impact but thats ok... I guess this is another question to add to my list at my next girly doctor appointment this Monday.

I am so glad to finally have a picture. I am looking forward to my next appointment when I will finally get to hear the heartbeat.

Thanks for the heads up, Savannah. I was in a hurry and didn't think about. Picture fixed!
