Oye. It's been a while since my last post.
To recap:
> Claire finally got back to her normal sleep pattern. It took about 3 weeks, 3 sleep deprived weeks. I think that her teeth were working their way up. That's the only reason we can come up with. We have also started her on some solids. Mostly rice cereal. We have also given her (pureed) peas, squash, and prunes. So far she is definitely our child and loves all food. On down side to starting solids, poor little girl is going on day five of no pooping. I blame it on the rice cereal, so we are cutting that out for a while and upping the prunes.
> I turned 29. Last year of my 20's :'-(
> Claire is thisclose to rolling over. She has rolled from her stomach to back a few times in her crib, but we never saw it, so it doesn't count in our minds.
> At her 4 month check up at the end of January she was 17 lbs 9 oz, 27 inches long. She is in the >95% across the boards. Little girl is going to be tall, but she comes by it honestly. Her dad is 6'1" and I am 6'0". I have a 1st cousin who is 6'7".
> My running has been going really well, and Claire seems to enjoy running with me. She gets excited when I strap her into her carseat and stroller. Jonathan, Claire, and I ran in our first 5k road race last weekend, finishing with a time of 35:47. Not my best time, but not my worst. And I think that's pretty good considering I was pushing ~ 40lbs combined of baby, carseat, and stroller. I look forward to the day Claire can sit in the stroller without the carseat. (Pediatricians and BOB Strollers recommend waiting until she is 6 months to ride in the seat of the stroller.)
> I am having a hard time losing weight. It's really quite discouraging. I feel like I'm eating better and exercising more, but I'm not losing. I thought breastfeeding was supposed to help the weight come off... Oh well, as long as Claire is getting what she needs from me and I'm not gaining, I'll keep doing what I'm doing and hope it starts coming off soon (beach vacation in 3 months. Eeek!) I Think my biggest problem is portion control and eating too much sugar, whether it be candy or those Sprites. I finally got off caffeine, and Sprites are my Mt. Dew substitute. Now I have to cut those because of sugar.
So that's the highlights of the last month. We have another 5k road race in a week and I'm hoping to better my time since there won't be the hills that the last race had. So now I leave you with pictures from last weekend's race.

Claire is a real cutie!
I think breastfeeding made me hold onto weigh too.It seemed to start coming off faster once I weaned.
I;ll be doing the Shamrock & Roll race at Atlantic Station this weekend pushing Emily. What race are you planning on doing?
Hey lady! Definitely up the prunes - five days? Bless her little heart. And bless your when the magic finally happens!!
When Harp would get stopped up, we would offer up some applesauce too. Weird though, it stops the runs - but unclogs the goods. (At least for him anyway.) Good luck!!
Blonde - we are doing the 5k. Since my 10k time will most definitely be well over an hour, and I've never pushed Claire for longer than 55 min or so, I don't want to risk it. And, I dont mentally feel ready to run a 10k yet. Maybe I'll see you around the start line. I believe our BOB's are the same.
Stacy - I am doing everything short of a suppository to get things moving. Well, except juice. When. Can i get to the store I am going to get some. I fear the time when things do start moving. I am anticipating a bath for both of us. But I'll gladly take it if it means things are moving along again.
Blondie, I jus reread your comment.... We are doing that one in Atlantic Station too. Have you done it before? I was just wondering if the course I relatively flat, or if there were any hills.
Last year I ran the 5K by myself and then the 10K pushing Emily. I was a little bummed to see they combined the start this year sO you can't do both. It's a big race, but very family friendly. I really enjoyed it.
There is one small hill as you come up Northside Dr in the last mile, but the finish is downhill. Probably one of the flatter races you'll find around town.
I'll have to look for you guys! I plan on doing the 10K as a warm -up for next week's half.
