9 weeks

Baby's now the size of a green olive!
Your little embryo has now officially graduated to fetus-hood. Adding to the excitement, a Doppler ultrasound device might be able to pick up the beating heart. With basic physical structures in place and increasingly distinct facial features, baby is kind of starting to look like...well...a baby!

How Far along: 9 weeks!
Total weight gain: 3 lbs. But I think a lot of that is water weight - I have kinda been eating a lot of salty stuff.
Maternity clothes: Wore my Mat. jeans on Friday. Soooo comfortable, but falling down all day. I'm in that weird in-between stage where my regular clothes are tight but mat. clothes are way too big. The cartoon below best describes my conundrum.
Sleep: A lot, but it never seems to be enough.
Best Moment this week: Telling everyone at work. I told the head of the rumor mill so almost the entire company knows now.
Movement: Gas.
Gender: Boy or girl - no clue really.
Labor signs: No, thank you.
Belly button: In.
Cravings: Fruit.
What I miss: Can't really think of anything right now.
Stretch Marks: Nothing new.
Milestones: Baby is now a fetus. Everyone, meet Cleitus!
Weekly wisdom: I was freaking out a little earlier this week. Someone told me that women have been doing this for centuries, I will be fine. While it kind of annoyed me, it is true and helps me calm down a little.
