Oh, I'm sore. I'm so sore! I'm talking muscles I haven't felt in years.
I am going to go run tonight too. We'll see how that goes. The trainer has given us a challenge/personal goal to try to get in 5 days of cardio a week, and try to burn 500 calories minimum. Not too bad, I usually burn that in 35 minutes of running. But 5 days a week? I already have 2 days that are boot camp days. That would be 7 days of exercise. She must consider days of boot camp to be open for cardio as well. No way you can do intense exercise 7 days a week for 6 weeks. You would be too tired and risk injury. Everyone knows you have to have a day or two of recovery. Right?
Ok, so here is my plan. On days of boot camp (Mon and Wed), I will continue to go to my Step and Kick classes in the evenings. I will continue to run on Tues and Thurs. Thats 4 days, I need one more. Jon and I are going to seriously start running, so we will do that on Saturday mornings. We will probably also walk for an hour on Sun (I don't really consider walking a cardio activity since my heart rate isn't up as much).
Thats all doable, right? It would be so wonderful for me to keep this up after this boot camp is over, and after the race on July 4.
